Wednesday's fashion - The perfect outfit for a work dinner - Cene aziendali: cosa mettervi

Lately I have been wondering what is the perfect outfit for a work dinner. The answer is quite simple, but it took me a little bit of time to find it. I have Always loved the Little black dress, I have at least two pairs of black dresses, but when work dinner parties are at the corner I always find myself thinking wondering what to wear. This year's outfit will be the little black dress, styled in a very very feminine way, with a tulle blouse underneath. Here are some of my inspiration pictures. Hope you find them useful for your work dinner party as well.

Lasciatevi ispirare!

Appartamento romano - Home tour in Rome

Buon tour!

The white sofa is a classic piece of furniture in Italian apartments. It is the best and most stylish choice for households without children and toddlers. I have a lot of friends that have white sofas all around the house and they manage to keep everything neat and stylish (I wonder how do they manage to keep everything pulled together in such a perfect way and I must confess, I feel a little bit envious) I think the white sofa is soooooo beautiful and it's the perfect backsplash for those who love to accessorize with cushions, painting and decorating objects. The gorgeous appartment I am sharing today is the best example of how white and a herringbone hardwood floor are the perfect match for a perfect cozy look. I adore this apartment. This is the real luxury you can afford in Rome. A wonderful view on the tiber river, wide spaces, gorgeous furniture and soothing colors all around the house. Hope you enjoy! Have a great Thurdsday!

Buona decorazione a tutti!

I definitely am in a Christmas mood. Maybe it's because of the decorations all over the place, light lit in every corner of the city...... I feel it in the air and I already did my Christmas tree and the nativity. My son couldn't be more impatient about the whole excitement that accompanies the Christams festivities. And I had to make him happy by anticipating the decoration of the Christmas tree. This year it is gold, White with touches of silver, but I want to add some black decoration also. It is full of little pinecones that I collected during my park strollings with my family in the week-ends. Here are some pictures of Nordic style Christmas trees that I got inspired from. Happy decoration to all of you!

Sneak peeks of my house - Qualche foto della casa

Eccovi il risultato. a me piace tantissimo.......
At the beginning of the year I promised I would have shared a lot of pics of my home.... And here I am with some pictures of my gallery wall in the kitchen and a Bookshelf in the living. Everything you see is a DIY creation and I am very proud of them. The blackboard frame is a creation of mine. I had an old frame support of Ikea and an old wood frame from a picture I decided to replace with the Ikea support. Then I purchased an blackboard sticker that I simply put on the Ikea support. Here is the result. Do you love the big "A" letter that I purchased in a wonderful place in Rome? I simply love it and I am seriously thinking about spraypainting it in a bold color.

This Bookshelf is one of the easiest DIY projects we made. It will suffice three IKEA lack shelves and the outcome is this..... A little styling will make the difference of course. More pictures to come in the next months.....

Madrid home tour - Appartamento a Madrid

Piccoli spazi distribuiti in maniera estremamente intelligente. Ogni cosa è semplicemente al suo posto. Maggiori informazioni sul sito homeaway.com.
Today I will bring you to Madrid, a city I absolutely am in love with. This home tour reminds me of the trip I had in the capital city of Spain more than 5 years ago. It was relaxing and I loved everything spanish from the beautiful boutiques to the very nice restaurants and cafés. Unfortunately I don't have any digital pic to share with you because we lost our phone on the plane on our way home.....
Well today's apartament is a beautiful and chic corner where you can spend some romantic days in Madrid. Spaces here have been optimized in a very intelligent way and everything is in its place.
You can find more details on the apartament on homeaway.com.

Today's post is about decorating on a budget and without recurring to accessories, frames, paintings and whatever you think it's necessary to add style to your interior. You simply have to choose your favorite paintwall and then just go ahead, apply it to the walls or to a single wall of your room and then add just a minimum to pull your space together. Here is a French apartment in Lyon. The stylist and architect have decided to decorate with color, the super elegant grey of the walls, curtains and sofas. It's the quintessence of chic and relax. No little frames to dust, no accessories to move when you have to clear your space and no other unnecessary object throughout the apartment. The minimalist made chic and warm. I love the glass wall separating the kitchen from the dining room and the rest of the living. It's a super welcoming space even if grey would make you think of a cold and unpersonal apartment. This is what an intelligent choice of colors can do!

Black and white - Bianco e nero

I read something somewhere the other day about how you can manage to get the most of your time when you run out of time. One of the best practices to apply was have a black and white wardrobe that would allow you get rid of the morning outfit choice. I always find myself having to put things together and put myself together, put the breakfast together and put my son together so that everything gets done in just a handful of minutes. Of course that causes me a lot of annoyance. so why not return to your black and white timeless outfit. The black and white palette can very well apply to our interiors as well. You don't have to worry about combining things and then replacing colorful pieces because they can't match with other colors. Free yourself from the everyday stress. It will probably be my next year mantra. Don't worry about your wardrobe and don't worry about your house. Black and White will make the trick. Scandinavian people are very smart and know how to live a stressfree life. Elegance without effort and above all without any stress.
Just have a look at the black and White outfits that are a great style choice in every moment of the day and at the gorgeous black and White interiors. OK, I know! there are no rules. Then a touch of gold or metallic would brighten things up. Have a great week-end!

Buon fine settimana!

Who said Americans live in big huge houses? I have some evidence here that American people living in the urban centres are loving small spaces. This small apartment in Brooklyn has been given a new face, by Optimizing storage spaces and adding some bright colors, on the walls and everywhere.
I love the concrete fireplace and the dark and milk palette chosen for the entire flat.
Last but not least, the bathroom is superchic with its rough but very sophisticated soft hues and materials and its skylight. Hope you love it! Until next post!

Apartment of the week, nordic touches in Rome - Accenti nordici per un appartamento romano

Buon tour!

I am breaking a record, I know: I can't recall the last time I shared two posts in two days in a row. But when it comes to very interesting post, I just can't prevent myself from publishing them. It happens only when the interiors are beautiful and stylish, like the ones I am sharing today. This morning, I was thinking about dedicating a post to low budget furniture/relooking. It might seem strange, but this morning in my inbox arrived a very beautiful mail by Maurizio Giovannoni, an architect whose work I appreciate and look forward to sharing. Lately, he has been working on the relooking, on a budget, of a cute and small apartment in Ladispoli, a seaside city, facing the Tyrrenean sea. The color palette chosen for the relooking is a combination of mustad, grey and mint. It is just the perfect combination for an apartment by the beach. Here are some pictures. For more fun and more before&after pictures, you can have a look at Giovannoni's website: www.mauriziogiovannoni.it. Enjoy the tour!
