My Corfu holiday/Chapter I - Vacanze greche capitolo I

Ciao a tutti! A distanza di circa 2 settimane dal ritorno dalla Grecia, mi sono subito ritrovata sommersa di lavoro, impegni familiari e incastri vari. E' per questo che non ho avuto un attimo per condividere con voi momenti della vacanza a Corfù, prima che diventino un lontano ricordo estivo. Il post non ha nessuna pretesa di sostituirsi alle tante esaurienti guide turistiche. L'isola di Corfù è semplicemente meravigliosa, sebbene sia fermamente convinta che il concetto di "meraviglioso" si possa applicare a tutte le isole greche. Il fascino della mitologia (pare che a Corfu abitasse Nausicaa) è presente ovunque, tra templi antici, castelli e storia. Corfù ne è un esempio, è piena di storia, è una piccola Venezia, dove l'influenza della Serenissima si tocca con mano nello stile degli edifici, nelle strade lastricate, ma anche nel carattere della gente, aperta e cordiale, abituata ad accogliere stranieri da secoli di storia. Oggi vorrei condividere le immagini della natura di Corfù, rigogliosa, verde e dal mare semplicemente paradisiaco. Abbiamo affittato un appartamento in una delle spiagge più belle e cristalline dell'isola, Paleokastritsa, spiaggia rocciosa, acque freschissime e dal fascino unico. Se andate con i figli piccoli, Paleokastritsa non è l'ideale, ma merita una visita. Scegliete piuttosto Glyfada o Agios Gordios, ideali per le famiglie. Corfù è alquanto sottovalutata dagli italiani che considerano o conoscono solo Mykonos, Paros e Santorini, le più turistiche in assoluto. Corfù è semplicemente una perla, il mix giusto tra storia e natura. Mi auguro che queste immagini, ve ne diano un'idea! Al prossimo capitolo!

Hi there! It's almost 2 weeks since I returned from my Greece holidays and I am just overcomed by to-do lists, work and organizing things at home. That's why it took me so long to share some pictures with you all. Everybody outthere seems to talk only about Mykonos, Santorini and Paros and other jewels, full of history and wonderful landscapes and bays seem to be just underestimated. At least that's what happens in Italy, because on the island I found so many Americans, Germans and Frech people. Today's post about my Corfu Holiday is totally dedicated to nature and to the wonderful landscapes of the Corfu Island. With all the beautiful trip blogs out there, I just want to show you some wonderful/fabulous/heavenly spots that just took my breath away during those days. I still feel so nostalgic, a sensation I feel everytime I leave Greece. It's nature and the Ionian sea is breathtaking. We rented an apartment in Paleokastritsa, one of the most beautiful bays of Corfu. The sea is crystal clear, turning from blue to emerald. There are rocky bays and if you are planning to go with toddlers  just take a memorable bath in its cold crystal water and leave for more family friendly beaches like Agios Gordios or Glyfada. Anyway, I chose it on purpose, because swimming in its water is a wonderful experience.
