Week end scavenger in Rome -Caccia al tesoro nei mercatini di Roma

One of the best parts of living in Rome for an interior addict like me are flea and antique markets which take place on a weekly basis in some of the most beautiful streets of Rome. One of the mos renowned antique markets is the Via Flaminia Market, a gorgeous place close to Villa Borghese where you can find great pieces at affordable prices. Being an eager photographer when it comes to design and décor pieces, I couldn't shoot more snaps because of problems I had with memory storage on my mobile. I promise I will share a lot of other great pictures next time. As you all know, I really get a kick out of going treasure hunting among great antique markets where you can come across real artistic gems. I must confess, I just savor my walks in Rome that partly shaped my tastes in design. Enjoy!  

Una delle cose più belle della vita a Roma per una appassionata di interior design sono i mercatini di antiquariato e modernariato che ravvivano le piazze romane quasi ogni domenica. Uno dei  mercatini più conosciuti è quello di via Flaminia, attigua a Villa Borghese dove si possono trovare bellissimi pezzi del 500, 600 o di inizio secolo scorso. E per di più, a prezzi davvero accessibili. Purtroppo, non sono riuscita a scattare altre foto per problemi di memoria del telefonino, ma prometto di condividere un maggior numero di foto la prossima tappa. Girare per questi mercatini è una vera e propria caccia al tesoro perché vi si possono trovare dei veri gioielli d'arte. Devo confessarlo: le passeggiate a Roma in questi posti sono uno dei piaceri della vita. Fatelo, se capitate a Roma. Intanto, spero di aiutarvi a farvi un'idea su quello che si può trovare in questi posti!

This is where I would put these great Chinese sculptures! There are not only Chinese vases! what about mixing up decorating pieces of same colors?

Look what I came across just a few steps away, on the other stand. This bronze face covering itself with one hand, on a grey marble basis. Gorgeous! Pure art! 

Questa scultura di bronzo su un basamento di marmo è stupefacente! Arte pura!

And then, there was this beautiful classic sculpture of medium size. 

E proprio lì vicino questa bellissima scultura di stampo classico, sempre in bronzo, e di medie dimensioni, collocabile anche in un appartamento di media grandezza. 

What about adding those stunning pieces here?

Che ne dite se questi due pezzi vengono collocati in un interno simile a questo?
