Appartamento della settimana - Wonderful Scandi grey wall apartment

Non ho potuto resistere dal pubblicare questo post non appena mi sono imbattuta in questi meravigliosi interni, scudi e per di più scandinavi. Scuro e scandinavo è un binomio alquanto inusuale ma dalle immagini potete semplicemente dedurre che i nostri cari lontani vicini scandinavi sono semplicemente maestri del design, sia che si tratti di tavolozze tendenti al biancore predominante, sia che si tratti di tavolozze scure, intime e calde come quella che vi propongo oggi. Questo attico ne è l'esempio lampante. Amo ogni dettaglio scelto per l'arredo di questo appartamento con viste mozzafiato e nicchie create ad hoc e adatte a vari tipi di funzione e utilizzo. In un open space si fondono alla perfezione area pranzo, area studio e area soggiorno, per un effetto di grande convivialità. Amo poi i quadri dai colori decisi e di forte impatto che come in una galleria danno il massimo di sé anche in un appartamento e mi piace particolarmente la scelta delle linee contemporanee e pulite di alcuni complementi d'arredo e il tocco vintage del divano e delle sedie. Se godete di un soggiorno pieno di luce come questo, potete tranquillamente osare con la scelta del colore dei muri. Scuro, decisamente e senza indugi! Voglio conoscere lo stylist di questo appartamento! Intanto, complimenti da Roma!


I was planning to write this post tomorrow but I just couldn't prevent myself from sharing these wonderful pictures. Who said Scandinavian apartments are all white? There is plain evidence that Scandinavians are simply great masters when it comes to styling their homes. Have a look at this attic and you will see the mastery and the great capacity these people have to style their houses even by recurring to a grey, sombre and dark palette. Here this great mix of the bold colors of the paintings and the dark grey of the wall is so impactful and the perfect choice for a wintery interior. It looks so cozy, intimate and warm. I would definitely cuddle up on the sofa. It is simply perfect and I don't think I could ever get annoyed or miss white at all. The dark grey palette seems perfect because the apartment is just submerged by natural light. So if you too, are so lucky as to have a great lighty open space living, go for grey! I am becoming a fan of it! I only focused on the color palette but have a look at the perfect mix of vintage furnishing and contemporary ones! I want to know who the designer (or who styled) of this attic is! Congrats from Rome!

Mensole su binari metallici - Shelves or..... Trackshelving

Mensole su strutture metallicche. Io le chiamo così, ma devo informarmi bene sul termine tecnico.Tra la zona giorno e la zona notte ho un disimpegno che volevo sfruttare al meglio come spazio contenitivo (di tutte quelle cose che non usate abitualmente, carte, documenti di cui non potete disfarvi, borse da viaggio ecc). In un primo momento volevamo inserirvi un armadio con delle ante in vetro. In un secondo momento, questa prima opzione fu soppiantata da un'altra: porte scorrevoli per poter nascondere tutto quello che già vi si trovava in quell'angolo un po' negletto della casa. Ma la terza idea è stata quella vincente. Binari metallici che sorreggono delle mensole in legno (o metalliche, le potete scegliere come volete). I binari metallici vengono usati anche nella grande distribuzione per sorreggere pesi elevatissimi e quantità enormi di merce e fu in una di queste peregrinazioni domenicali che nacque l'idea. Perché non usarli anche nei nostri ambienti domestici? Le mensole si possono disporre in vari modi e a varie altezze, si possono usare per creare delle librerie su misura o degli angoli espositivi nel soggiorno. Sono eleganti, economiche e ariose. Eccovi alcune idee, da copiare immediatamente!


Trackshelving is my favorite way of organizing thinkgs, books and whatever I need to put away in order to spare some living space and declutter efficiently. Between the sleeping area and the living room area I have a hallway in which I had put all things that I don't use on an everyday basis and that was my storage space. At first, we thought a custom made storage space would have been perfect, then another storage solution aroused: put only two sliding and mirrored doors and close the space, but during one of our promenades in one of the biggest home decoration and furnishings mall, we discovered trackshelving, which turned to be the winner idea. Everything now in my hallway looks better and extremely organized. No more frames, clothes, bags, totes and luggage bags on the floor. Vertical solutions are just the best. Trackshelving looks great even in a living room, because it is so easy to install, you choose the shelves, the materials and you'll have a wonderful library. Take a look at the pictures I've chosen and you will definitely become a fan of trackshelving. It's elegant, airy and inexpensive.

Rosa pallido nella moda e nell'interior design - Pale pink inspiration in fashion and interior

Il rosa quarzo, rosa pallido, rosa antico, chiamatelo come più vi aggrada, sembra essere il colore del momento. Qualche settimana fa ho comprato una giacca imbottita rosa pallido e sono estremamente felice dell'acquisto. Finalmente un po' di colore tenue nel bel mezzo dell'inverno. Non ne potevo più dell'onnipresente nero, sebbene non l'ho di certo rinnegato. Tra l'altro, con il rosa, il nero si abbina alla grande. Solo qualche anno fa, se qualcuno mi avesse chiesto che cosa pensavo del rosa nell'interior design o nella moda, avrei risposto un "no" secco, ma mi rendo conto che il rosa pallido è proprio un altro colore. Non sono mai stata una ragazzina pink addicted e non sono mai stata incline a seguire le mode del momento, ma solo quello che mi piace e che ritengo mi stia bene. Le immagini che vi propongo sono una carrellata di outfit riuscitissimi, perlopiù casual, ma anche degli interni dove gli accenti rosa donano un tocco glam agli interni. Alla prossima!

Blush, pale pink, quartz pink or whatever you call it seems to be the colour of the moment. I just bought a pale pink padded jacket a few weeks ago and I am so happy with it, I guess iit is the colour itself that makes me feel this way. I was fed up with black coats and jacket, though I still love black because paired with a soft, bright and light color it looks simply perfect. Just a few years before, If somebody had asked me about pink in interior design and interior accessories, I would have been a little bit doubtful about the color itself, but the more I wear it, the more I browse pictures with pale pink accents, the more I love it. (And I am not so prone to temporary trends and I have never been a pinky girl but pale pink is just another color.) It goes without saying that the right match is the key element to a tasteful and fully achieved interior. I love it paired with grey walls and grey sofas. When it comes to fashion, I love it with black pants, grey skirts and friendly casual jeans.

Apartment tour in Montréal - Tour di un bell'appartamento a Montréal

Oggi pubblico un velocissimo post, ma credo anche che troppe parole non servano. E' semplicemente un bellissimo appartamento che ho adorato dal momento in cui l'ho visto su Apartment Therapy. L'appartamento si trova a Montréal e appartiene ad una giovane simpatica e creativa famiglia canadese di origini francesi. Mi piace particolarmente il mix di stili, estremamente riuscito in tutti gli ambienti. Armadi in legno massiccio e forme contemporanee e funzionali per un risultato rilassato e davvero riuscito. Anno nuovo -propositi nuovi: Organizziamo la casa - Organizing tips for the new year!

Questo è il primo post del 2016, il mese è letteralmente volato. Rieccomi quindi con una manciata di suggerimenti sull'organizzazione, la sistemazione e l'ottimizzazione dei nostri spazi. Lo so, lo so, sembrano suggerimenti già sentiti, ma io li ho "testati" nella mia casa. spero quindi che questa manciata di "consigli" vi sia utile. Chi scrive di arredamento, sa che quando ci si imbatte in idee innovative o in soluzioni di arredo sofisticate e di effetto, si tende a raccogliere tutto in maniera alquanto disordinata in cartelline chiamate "Per casa mia", "Idea". Oggi condivido con voi una di queste cartelline personali. Tutto ruota su come organizzare in maniera efficace e in un'ottica di contenimento dei costi, gli spazi in casa. Ci sono anche scelte di stile e suggerimenti di interior design che richiedono solo qualche piccolo accorgimento per un effetto "uau". Tra l'latro, come vi dicevo le ho testate traendone grande soddisfazione sia in termini di spazi ritrovati, sia in termini estetici.


January is that time of the year you get to work, you plan massive decluttering and lightening your spaces. It may sound like a post you've already read somewhere else, because everyone out there seems to disperse useful organizing tips. Here is another one of those posts focusing on some decor tips organizin tips to help you out in your homes. These are ideas and space organizing solutions I have collected in a personal file. I am one of those people who tend to collect useful posts and decoration ideas in files called "Idea for the living", "For my bedroom" and so on, without a precise order. So this is the right occasion to share them in a more sistematic way. I have tested almost all of the solutions I am writing about and they have proven to be just great. I am so satisfied with my old chandelier for example I digged up from the basement, I am more then happy with the grey hue I chose for the kitchen and the wall of the living, I am so happy with high libraries.... other chapters will follow. Ottenere un effetto scenico (e allo stesso tempo intimo e sofisticato) con una parete scura è facilissimo. Basta scegliere il colore e la parete da dipingere. Come per magia, quadri, mobili, accessori saranno valorizzati in un batter d'occhio. 

There is nothing more easier than painting a wall in a soft color. I am obsessed with grey but anything else would work if dosed in the right way and combined with the right hues. The gallery effect is immediate in the living and your paintings and frames will stand out in a magical way.

Ikea hacking è un'attività che piace sempre di più. Basta trovare un po' di ispirazione in giro e una libreria o un tavolo ikea sembrare dei pezzi su misura e superchic.


Hacking is such a great thing to do. Please Hack or should I say Ikea hack! Look around for inspiration, there are some great ideas in the web that will make your library or your coffee table look just like a tailored piece.

A tutta altezza è la parola d'ordine! Esalta i soffitti e le altezze. E poi una libreria verticale è bellissima.

Recuperate vecchi mobili e lampadari per un effetto meraviglioso. Il lampadario che ho recuperato in cantina sta riscuotendo un grande successo.


Please, I have said that before and will never stop repeating it! Dig up your basements and mix contemporary style with old looking decor pieces.

Last house tour of the year...... and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! - Ultimo appartamento dell'anno e...... BUON 2016!

Questo è l'ultimo appuntamento dell'anno e per l'occasione ho scelto una meravigliosa casa arredata in colori neutri e tocchi di rosso, il tutto usato con maestria e arte. Per molti sono giorni frenetici. Le preparazioni febbrili sulla scelta del posto dove innalzare i calici, con chi trascorrere gli ultimi istanti dell'anno che ci lascia? Insomma, non avreste voglia di trascorrere questa serata in un rustico arioso come questo? Buon anno a tutti!!!!

Decorating with prints...... Decorare con le stampe

Ebbene sì! Ve l'avevo promesso ed eccomi qui a condividere un po' di foto scattate solo pochi giorni prima di Natale in piena atmosfera festiva. Avevo in mente un post sulle decorazioni natalizie a Roma, ma poi quasi per caso e (per lavoro) ho avuto la possibilità di visitare uno degli alberghi più belli ed esclusivi della capitale, il JK hotel. La hall è semplicemente meravigliosa, lo stile classico si sposa a meraviglia con uno stile anni 60 dove il grigio e i toni tenui sono i padroni assoluti. L'eleganza e l'atmosfera rilassata si respira in ogni angolo di questo magico posto. E poi, come per magia appunto, mi sono ritrovata nella bellissima piazza Fontanella Borghese, che si trova proprio dietro l'albergo ed è conosciuta per i banchi di stampe antiche e oggetti di antiquariato. Non potevo non perdermi in mezzo a cotanta scelta di stampe, almeno per ammirarle e condividerle con voi. Sappiate però che un giro più approfondito in mezzo a queste anfore dipinte a mano e a queste meravigliose stampe antiche di Roma sarà programmato molto presto. Anche perché se non fosse per le mie finanze, avrei comprato tutto quanto. Agli appassionati di design consiglio vivamente un giro tra questi negozietti storici della piazza. As promised, here I am with a new post and new pics shot just a few days before Christmas, in full Christmas atmosphere. I had promised a post on Christmas decorations in Rome, but then I had a work meeting in one of the most beautiful and chic places in Rome, the JK Hotel. Of course, I took some pictures for you all. That place is just magical. It has been decorated in neutral and pearl grey colors and the final outcome is just stunning. It really seems, as someone said, a Dolce Vita (Fellini's film) interior. Once the meeting was over, I found myself in the middle of the Fontanella Borghese square, which is just around the corner. The place is renown for its print stands where artisanal, hand Painted pictures and prints of Greek urns, amphoras and Roman ruins literally make those small stands look just a bit crammed. But in those stands, real treasures can be found. Beautiful golden framed mirrors, classical subjects pictures, dead natures and whatever you need to decorate a nude wall.
