DIY BLACK AND WHITE PAINTING - QUADRO BIANCO E NERO

E' da molto tempo che non condivido un progetto Fai da te, sebbene ne abbia parecchi. Non riesco mai a trovare il tempo di mettere insieme le immagini, editarle come si conviene e condividerle.
Questi giorni però, ho deciso di postare finalmente un progetto semplice semplice e soprattutto alla portata di tutti. E' semplicissimo, ma a mio avviso, di grande impatto visivo. Come sapete, ho una vera passione per il fai da te semplice, i progetti complicati ancora non mi appartengono e a dirla tutta, non ho né il tempo e né la pazienza di cimentarmi in lavori che richiedono grande manualità e soprattutto maestria. Ciononostante, guardo con grande ammirazione tutti i progetti DIY di blogger creative e dotate di grande fantasia. Cominciamo a descrivere sinteticamente il progetto del quadro. Per prima cosa, ho creato una moodboard di ispirazione. Il bianco e nero è la combinazione perfetta per un quadro di poco costo, ma di grande effetto. Ho riciclato un tela bianca. Ho applicato in maniera disordinata la carta adesiva. Ho riciclato un rimasuglio di colore matt nero che ho applicato sugli spazi bianchi. Eccovi il risultato. Alla prossima!!!!!

DIY shelf and frames - mensola e cornice fai da te

Whatever you see in the pic below is a minimalist and a little bit modest creation (and above all totally inexpensive) of mine. The RIBBA (Ikea) frame under the Bookshelf. Inside there is a simple printed sheet. You may choose whatever phrase you like and change it when your mood changes as well. I love the black and White contrast. I think the phrases and the layout are a reproduction of two works from artist Therese Sennerholt. The other piece is the little frame on the Bookshelf. I found it in a very distressed state and gave it two hands of Yellow atoxic paint. The Bookshelf as well was in my previous home and has now found its perfect place in a corner of the kitchen. Have a very nice day!


Tutto quello che vedete nella foto che vi propongo oggi è una modesta mia creazione. La cornice Ribba di IKEA contiene un semplice foglio stampato. Ho scelto delle frasi della grande artista Therese Sennerholt che crea dei bellissimi quadri dal gusto minimalista e prettamente scandinavo. I suoi quadri / stampe quadri sono tutti in bianco e nero. Idea semplice e ovviamente da copiare, finché non riuscirò a procurarmi una sua stampa quadro originale. Tra l'altro, potete cambiar le frasi a seconda del vostro umore del momento. Anche la mensola si trovava nella mia casa precedente e ora ha trovato una perfetta collocazione sul tavolo in cucina. La cornicetta sulla mensola l'ho trovata in uno stato a dir poco disperato. Sono bastate due mani di colore ad acqua giallo per darle nuova vita e conferire un po' di colore e di dose vitaminica all'intero angolo. Buona giornata a tutti!

DIY Artwork - decorare una parete

It couldn’t be otherwise, being the daughter of a very creative, great at sewing, a very talented painter, able at rearranging things, at putting in order every corner of the house, I am naturally keen on crafty persons and I consider myself very lucky to be the friend of one of the most crafty women I know. She is a real source of inspiration and a wellspring of creativity. It goes without saying that her house is just perfect, ready to be published on one of the best design magazines, being her owner a restless decorator. Here is a DIY artwork she has hanged in her wonderful  modern apartment overlooking the Tiber river.  It couldn’t be more crafty! All you need to recreate this piece of extremely contemporary art is some metallic thread, forks, knives and spoons that you don't use anymore and above all a beautiful woodframe.  

DIY Artwall - arredare una parete , quadri fai da te

Hi dears! Looking up my favorite design magazines, I found a gret idea for a DIY artwork. There was an article on a French famous designer's home. Everything looked so fresh, modern and contemporary. I felt beyond inspired by those interiors that I made up my mind to create some similar canvases for my house as well. I had bought some canvases with photographs from New York city. I beg newyorkers' pardon, but the pictures didn't really represent New York city as I know it so I decided to transform them into something brand new. Being inspired by the artwall of the French decided, I chose the same patterns ( but not the same hue combination) for my DIY art. In a few pharagraphs the steps you should follow if you want to realize the same painting:

- take three basic acrilic colors: red, yellow and white or ivory.

- take your photographed canvas and put it under your shower to take off the picture. Once you've washed off the picture, pass the white color, let it dry and afterwards draw two semicircles and color them with your red and yellow acrylics. Obviously, you can combine different colors, according to your furniture. Hope this post helps you for some inspiration! Enjoy! Till next post!

Diy ARTWORK in the entryway - quadro fai da te nell'ingresso

As promised, today I would like to share with you a detail of my home’s entry hall  where orange, red, purple and other spots of color add some personality to this corner of the apartment and liven it up.  I am very proud of the outcome, because every object and every single detail is the result of thrift décor, Diy Artwork and flea market décor objects. I bought the shadow of the lamp at IKEA for just 1 euro. The base is also from Ikea.

The main piece, the painting, is a creation of mine, clearly of Mondrian and Kandinsikij inspiration.

For the canvas I used oil painting colors. (I hadn’t discovered the magical acrylic paint colors, yet!) . It took me some days to finish the painting, because, as you know, oil colors need a little more time to dry.

I purchased the pewter penholder and the pewter centerpiece at the Paris flea market during a parisian trip I made two years ago. It goes without saying that if you ever happen to be in Paris, the flea market should be one of your must-to-do stops. One of the best places for interiorolics.
 This is the artful corner of the house where the contemporary pieces mingle with liberty and antique decoration pieces.

Come promesso, oggi vorrei condividere con voi una porzione dell'ingresso della mia casa. chiamiamolo l'angolo colorato perché come vedete, predominano i colori caldi, arancione, rosso, giallo che riescono a dare alle pareti bianche e all'ambiente circostante un tocco di personalità e di allegria. Sono molto soddisfatta del risultato, perché ogni oggetto è frutto di una ricerca di elementi nei mercatini di antiquariato, di opere fai da te e pezzi di illuminazioni acquistati a prezzi molto, ma molto convenienti. L'abat-jour è stato acquistato all'Ikea, lo stesso dicasi per la base, il quadro è stato creato da me utilizzando colori a olio (visto che non avevo ancora scoperto i magici colori acrilici). Ho dovuto anche aspettare un bel po' prima di appoggiarlo sulla mensola dato che i colori ad olio impiegano molto più tempo per asciugare. I due pezzi di peltro, il porta penne e il centro tavole o svuotasche (è la funzione che svolge tuttora) lì ho comprati al meraviglioso mercato delle pulci di Parigi, tappa indispensabile per le interiorolics come noi. Questo è uno degli angoli artistici della casa dove troverete insieme pezzi di ispirazione contemporanea come il quadro che si ispira chiaramente a Mondrian e a Kandinskij e pezzi in stile liberty.
