To buy or not to buy? - Design icon

Lately I am looking for a new piece of furniture to add to my living room. It is of course something necessary not only a piece of decoration. It goes without saying that in my case aesthetics and style go hand in hand with function and utility. A chair is what I need right now for myself and my relaxing reading moments. I cherish those moments. They have become a little rare since I had my son. I have to wait for the night (sounds like the title of a pop song) and darkness if I want to read just three or four pages of my favorite book of the moment. (A propos, Les dieux ont soif by Anatole France is what I am reading or trying to read right now). I want to create a reading corner in my bedroom and in my living room as well. I have to experiment a bit. In a word, I am looking for something that would look great wherever I decide to put it. A folding chair with an iconic look would be the perfect choice. What about the BFK chair? Maybe not the original one. There are a few great reproductions of it at affordable prices. I am loving it in every shape and textile, but the leather chair is my favorite one. Should I go for it?

 

E da un po' che penso ad un pezzo da aggiungere al soggiorno. Va da sé che si tratta di qualcosa di indispensabile e non di un pezzo di design da aggiungere per puro capriccio. Sono alla ricerca di una sedia comoda ed esteticamente accettabile per creare un angolo lettura in soggiorno e nella camera da letto. Sto pensando di ritagliarmi uno spazio molto privato per gustarmi la lettura di un libro, momenti che da quando in famiglia è arrivato il piccolino sono diventati davvero rari. Quello che ho in mente è una sedia pieghevole che posso spostare all'occorrenza. La sedia BFK mi sembra una scelta che posso prendere in considerazione. Sul mercato esistono anche tante bellissime riproduzioni a prezzi molto convenienti. Inutile dire che la mia preferita rimane quella in pelle. Vi propongo alcune immagini della sedia collocata in diversi ambienti. Si inserisce perfettamente sia in un soggiorno sia in una stanza da letto. Che ne dite?
